About Us

Maryland Bobcats Football Club (MBFC) is a community-based professional football club founded in 2010, located in the heart of Montgomery County, Maryland. We are the only United States Soccer Federation (USSF) sanctioned professional outdoor soccer team in the state of Maryland. Competing in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA), the third division of U.S. Soccer, we are dedicated to discovering, developing, and preparing local talent for the professional level by providing various platforms that nurture growth both on and off the field.

Professional Men’s Team Achievements:

• 4X NISA Independent Cup Mid-Atlantic Region Champions (2020-2022)
• Third round appearance in the US OPEN CUP in 2023 (club history)
• UPSL Fall 2019 National Champions (Undefeated Season)
• WPL & Maryland Majors Spring 2018 Champions

Youth Academy:

MBFC's youth academy, the Bobcats Youth Academy (501(c)(3)), is the only youth program in Maryland offering a direct path to professional play and college development. Our academy players have the opportunity to train with the professional team as they develop. With more than 200 players across our U8 to U23 age groups, our ranks are growing, showcasing their talents with direct access to the Club’s professional coaches, staff, and players. We mold our players through a pathway-to-the-professional-game program to meet the needs of every player, ranging from recreational to pre-academy to academy to amateur U23 and beyond.

• Founded in Fall 2020, now with over 200 players (ages 8–23)
