Anthony Ugorji



In his new role, Ugorji will be responsible for roster management, strategic direction, and shaping the style of play on the field.

Bringing a wealth of experience to the table, Ugorji joins the Bobcats’ management team after serving as the Director of Sports Performance at Redline Athletics, a performance training facility. Additionally, he served as the Technical Director of Avanti Athletics, a nonprofit youth sports organization, where he played a pivotal role in athlete recruitment, guided technical staff, and contributed to crucial decision-making processes. His implementation of data analytics strategies further underscores his commitment to excellence.

Ugorji also has a strong technical background, having previously served as an assistant coach at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) and currently holding a position as one of the assistant coach roles with the Bobcats first team. His academic credentials include a Masters in Physical Education: Coaching of Sports from Southwest Minnesota State University.

Renowned for his dedication to player development and a proven track record in navigating the intricacies of elite soccer operations, Ugorji expresses his enthusiasm for the new chapter with Maryland Bobcats FC. “I am inspired and honored to take on this new chapter with Maryland Bobcats FC,” said Anthony Ugorji. “I am excited to work alongside the young and talented individuals within the organization to drive the club to new heights.
