After a 2-1 win over the LA Force on Wednesday, the Maryland Bobcats will look to string together multiple wins as they take on Chattanooga FC. With 2 games in hand over Chattanooga and still sitting in 2nd place, the Bobcats have a chance to close the gap on first place Chattanooga to 5 points with a win.

The Maryland Bobcats haven’t seen to get the better of Chattanooga having only beaten them once in 8 matches. However the impressive performance against LA Force might see head coach Alex Kao change the starting lineup up compared to the one that faced Chattanooga last week in a narrow 1-0 loss. Chattanooga have only conceded one goal in league play this season, but top goal scorer on the Bobcats Darwin Espinal will have something to say about that, having totaled 3 goals this season and was unlucky not to pick up another goal on Wednesday against the LA Force.

Along with their defense, Chattanooga’s Markus Naglestad is joint top goal scorer with 5 goals in NISA and 7 goals in all competitions. He scored the lone goal last week in the narrow 1-0 loss.

Having just played Chattanooga last week, the Bobcats will look to use their momentum gained against the win versus the LA Force to their advantage. Although it is still early in the season, this game will be important for the league race. The Bobcats although on short rest, will be boosted by the fact that this game will be played at home compared to last week.
